Team Rover Xenon took gold at the Bangladesh national round of the 8th World Innovation Competition and Exhibition 2026. Their rover is a military-inspired multifunctional platform for surveillance and reconnaissance, built on a rocker-bogie suspension with high-torque motors for rough terrain, an ESP32 control platform with wireless monitoring, a robotic arm, and sensors for temperature, humidity, gas, flame, motion, soil moisture and obstacle detection.

1st Runner-Up, Agentic AI Hackathon, 12th IUT ICT Fest 2026
Team DU_Fanta placed 1st runner-up in the Agentic AI Hackathon at the 12th IUT ICT Fest 2026, organised by the IUT Computer Society.
2nd Runner-Up, Datathon, 12th IUT ICT Fest 2026
Team DU_RDanto placed third in অলীকবচন, the Bengali LLM Hallucination Detection Challenge run as the Datathon of the 12th IUT ICT Fest 2026. The task was to judge whether a Bangla response generated by a large language model was factually accurate or hallucinated. The team built a retrieval-augmented generation pipeline with LLM-based verification, advancing past more than 220 registered teams to the 15-team onsite final at IUT Gazipur, where they defended their method through a technical paper and Q&A. The placement carried a BDT 25,000 cash prize.

Team DU_Artemis finished 5th at the Inter-University Programming Contest of the 12th IUT ICT Fest.
